Large jobs require purpose-specific equipment to mill and plane, but when faced with smaller jobs, the Rolling Wedge Cold Planer can provide you with the ultimate flexibility you need. It attaches to your existing skid steer or excavator and quick couplings attach to the hydraulic off-port to power the hydraulic motor that turns the milling drum.

Our Rolling Wedge cutters attach to your existing skid steer, so you can keep doing the jobs you do, but more efficiently and in less time. Minimize the time you’re spending changing out cutters; Rolling Wedge lasts significantly longer than traditional carbide-tipped picks.

Adjust for the depth you need - simply.

Can be adjusted in the field with simple hand tools to accommodate any depth from 0" - 4" with precision. The planer's speed will be dependent on the hydraulic system of the machine it's attached to; typical speeds are between 8" - 12" planed per minute.
 

Requires very minimal horsepower or pressure.

Instead of taking the material that's being planed to its compressive strength, the Rolling Wedge cutters simply chip material away. As the tensile strength of the material being planed is less than its compressive strength, the Rolling Wedge Cold Planer doesn't require large horsepower or substantial pressure to mill material away. An added benefit of this process is an extended life for the cutters over traditional cutting teeth.

Trench where it was previously un-economical.

When trenching through abrasive materials such as rock, trenching operators would have to choose the method that would provide the best results along with economical means, which were often very different goals. Rolling Wedge can assist trenching companies to achieve the parameters of their jobs without sacrificing the way they had to in the past.
